“I see garments as part of a line: a line that i’m trying to rearrange and interrupt until, unexpected grades and new shapes appear.”
Anne De Grijff is a dutch fashion stylist; she started her women’s ready-to-wear label in 2008. Her label is known for its elegant and contemporary designs that are both clear and complex, as she explains in her own website. The design process starts with a graphic structured pattern slowly examined and interrupted. Also imperfections and irregularities are allowed. She’s known for using ingenious pleating and folding techniques, giving volume to favored materials such as fine leather, pure wool and washed silks.
Anne her work is known through films, installations and catwalk; during the course of 2013 her line has been extended with designs for men and a line of accessories.
