POSES by Yolanda Dominguez

On 4th Octobert to 15th November at Rojo art space (Milan)

POSES is a project by Spanish artist Yolanda Domínguez. She gets real people in real life reproduce some of the poses by female models in fashion. The project presents women standing, sitting and stretching out in usually unnatural positions, looking absurd on the street, in the museum, in a greenhouse.

Yolanda Domínguez, born in 1977, Madrid is a visual artist and performer. She studied Fine arts at Madrid’s Complutense University and graduated with a Master in Art and New Technologies from the European University of Madrid and in Concept and Creation in Photography at Madrid’s EFTI School. Yolanda Domínguez works from what is disquieting, handling situations that are sensitive and disturbing for the spectator. Her aim is to generate social criticism and a reaction.
