On the heels of the bombshell Alexander Wang x H&M announcement at midnight last Saturday , there’s another hot designer collaboration to get excited about: Mary Katrantzou x Adidas. Squee!
Style stars around the world love the young British designer’s innovative work with arty kaleidoscopic prints and sculptural shapes. Right, Kerry Washington, Jessica Alba, and Keira Knightley? Katrantzou’s colorful, coveted pieces are carried by the top-notch boutiques and stores around the world—from Barneys to Colette to Opening Ceremony—and now the designer is working with one of our favorite sports labels on a capsule collection to launch this November.

According to Vogue U.K., the collab will be a “long-term union” (does that mean multiple seasons?) and will feature both clothing and shoes.
“I’m really excited to be working with Adidas on a line of apparel and footwear,” Katrantzou told Vogue U.K. “I grew up, like so many other kids around the world, wearing Adidas sneakers, and I’m really excited about bringing my vision to such a global brand. They have a fantastic heritage, and their ability to innovate in sportswear makes them the perfect partner for us to work with in this market.”
Adidas has collaborated with big names, ranging from high (Stella McCartney) to high street (Topshop), so we’re excited to see its sporty versatility matched with Mary Katrantzou’s inventive skills with prints and silhouettes. Trompe l’oeil sneakers and parkas, please.
