There’s still a whole lot of action going on at Wimbledon, including an appearance from Kate Middleton (finally!). There are plenty of daily outfit sightings along with all that tennis too, perfect for inspiring you any time you need a chic, tailored look for a party or summertime dinner alfresco with the fam.
I can hardly believe it was almost two weeks ago when I first started talking about this year’s best courtside outfits! Now we’re back with round two, including that Kate repeat that has me thinking she knows all about Wimbledon’s new dress code (and wants to do the queenly thing in supporting them).
British actress Emilia Fox most likely does not have July Fourth parties on the brain, but how cute would this striped red, white, and blue dress look at a seaside barbecue? (Shout-out to Avery, who would totally add this to the list of patriotic looks she was loving).
Even minus the red, I’d still wear this polka-dot dress to an all-American cocktail party this weekend. Brit singer Katherine Jenkins has a Taylor Swift vibe going on with the slightly retro cut of this pick (right?).
Kim Sears, longtime girlfriend of tennis pro Andy Murray, is an ace at picking outfits for the stands. She often goes with simple stuff, so I loved how daring this animal print felt for her.
Kim’s always getting hair compares to Kate Middleton, and, honestly, I think they could probably share a closet too. I’d love this summery white Zimmermann eyelet dress no matter what, but I especially dig the fact that it’s a repeat (it was Fawnia’s fave from her Australia and New Zealand tour).
More casual but still chic was Louise Redknapp’s black tank and pleated skirt combo. The British singer elevated it with a pair of ankle-strap sandals (this’d be a smart vacation outfit to pack—worn with slides, it could totally be a beachside bar outfit too!).
If you really look at British TV presenter Georgie Thompson in this pic, you’ll notice that cute striped dress is actually part of a whole outfit—she’s got a matching jacket over her arm!
