Robin Roberts, Erin Andrews, Maria Sharapova, and Others Have MAJOR Fashion Moments at ESPYs

If you weren’t expecting much from the ESPYs, style-wise, you need a course correction, stat. This year’s best-dressed list is peppered with non-sports-related stars (like Jessica Alba and Chrissy Teigen), along with some athletically inclined ladies who know what they’re doing, wardrobe-wise, off the field/court.

I loved all the texture plays of Maria Sharapova’s Antonio Berardi dress: the lace sleeves, the quilted bodice, the pleated skirt. It made it so much more than an LBD. She finished it off with Walter Steiger shoes and jewelry from Irene Neuwirth and Jennifer Fisher.

Chrissy Teigen looked super va-va-voom, per usual, in this low-cut pantsuit. I love its ’70s sex-bomb vibe (and that she’s switching it up, giving the micro-minis she looks so good in a break for the evening). More so, according to Fawnia, this might not have even been her best outfit of the week.

I love, love, love white dresses in the summer and am so happy that Erin Andrews managed to make one formal! With a sweet bow at the chest and exaggerated hips, this one’s kind of adorable, no?

And then, duh, Jessica Alba looking radiant in a one-shoulder golden dress. The long slice of folded fabric up top made for a bold silhouette too.

I know I’m not the only one nursing a serious Robin Roberts crush, and when she strode across the stage in this black-and-white blocked jumpsuit, I might’ve squealed over how amazing she looked. It’s not fussy but just perfectly chic.

One of my other favorite athlete looks of the night belonged to Amy Purdy, a paralympic snowboarder, who seriously sparkled in this high-shine metallic dress with cap sleeves and a steamy slit up the front.

Jordana Brewster took a super-casual silhouette, the T-shirt dress, and jazzed it up for the red carpet with a wide band of gemstones at the bottom. Here’s what she had to tell us about the DSquared pick: “I loved it and thought it was very original. It’s leather on top and then beading, and it’s easy, even though it’s a little heavy.” Love!

And the one male I’m permitting on my list? Basketball player Kevin Durant, who avoided the lure of wearing something funky or untraditional in favor of a well-tailored suit, adding his own touch with the bright green jacket. If you aren’t an NBA fan, you should know: This guy’s a sweetheart.
