Meet René Caovilla, One Of The Most Influential Women’s Luxury Shoes Designer

It is with great pleasure that Amsterdam Fashion TV  introduces to you one of the most influential women’s luxury shoes designers since 1934 – René Caovilla.

Two of his distinct capsule collections will be exhibited during the exclusive lifestyle event “24 hours of Elegance – Concours d’Elegance & Salon of Excellence 2014” hosted at the Royal White Palace in Belgrade, Serbia.

The guests of the event will get a unique chance to see the famous shoes pulled from the brand’s archives, representing the most iconic styles of brand’s heritage. The exhibit will include 8 and 10 models from the capsule collections respectively. Each pair was made with passion and dedication at René Caovilla’s factory in Venice. Created by hand, these unique items feature precious stones, crystals, exotic leathers and beautiful embroideries.


From lace T-strap platform sandals and sling-backs to crystal-embellished peep-toe booties – each and every of René Caovilla’s creations is like a true piece of art. With its dedication to high quality and Italian craftsmanship, René Caovilla’s shoes celebrate beauty, femininity and couture at its best.

Being one of the top women’s footwear brand and the ultimate in luxury, René Caovilla has collaborated with the legendary Valentino, Christian Dior, Chanel and Karl Lagerfeld.

René Caovilla brand enjoys a prestigious history that started in the twentieth century with his father, Edoardo Caovilla, who was a student of famous shoe industrialist Luigi Voltan. As a child, René loved spending time in my his laboratory, playing with leather, feathers and dreaming about incredible shoes. Trained by his father and after honing his skills with Chanel and Christian Dior, Caovilla made a name for himself with his vision of vision of simple subtle elegance and the timeless allure.
