Avery already gave us plenty of reasons to invest in an office-appropriate faux-leather pencil skirt for our Monday through Friday. Now it’s time to talk about why we need a pair of leather pants for fall. If you’ve already sworn off leather (or faux-leather) leggings, think of reconsidering because leather pants have morphed into a multitude of styles, fits, and cuts this season—from a classic jeans to slouchy sweatpants to, yes, the controversial gaucho. But before we go any further, lets take a look at how two of our favorite style crushes rocked their flattering, comfy leather pants recently.
Jessica Alba opted for tried-and-true sweatpants for a flight from New York to Los Angeles this week. But her sweats weren’t your everyday gym-ready fleece types (I mean, be real). Instead, Jessica chose a luxe pair of perforated panel-leather trackpants by Pam & Gela. She kept up the sporty-sexy vibe with a mesh knit sweater layered over a white basic tank and a pair of black midheel pumps.
At a celeb-filled dance party celebrating the launch of New Balance and James Jeans, powered by ISKO, Rashida Jones doubled up on her edgy leather. She paired skinny cuffed leggings with a black moto jacket and softened up her rocker look with a stripey top and colorful dancing shoes (i.e., sneakers).
