Erin Andrews Ranks Her Best Looks From Dancing With the Stars This Season

No offense to Tom Bergeron, but Erin Andrews might have a leg up when it comes to the wardrobe department. The statuesque TV host continues to wow every week on Dancing With the Stars as she debuts a new look deserving of its own Mirrorball trophy. There was the stunning blue Victoria Beckham gown from week 1; the white midriff-baring David Koma design in week 4; the red jumpsuit from Ralph Lauren two weeks ago. Add ethereal yet sexy makeup and flowing blond hair and you’ve got a recipe for gorgeousness. So what has been Erin’s favorite looks from this past season? Finale looks aside (stay tuned for part 1 tonight!), Erin is listing her very best!

Premiere night
Dress by Victoria Beckham; Jewelry by David Yurman

“It’s my favorite hair and makeup because I feel like it looks like me. It’s Gisele hair, because she’s my everything. I look fresh even though I know I’m exhausted from football. I don’t get a spray tan each week. It’s just body makeup. I love the bronzed goddess look. I feel like a lot of eye makeup makes me look older, but I love a lot of lashes.”

Week 2, Monday night
Dress by Cushnie et Ochs; Shoes by Sarah Jessica Parker

“I always get freaked out doing different hairstyles. I would wear it long and curly all the time, but because of the neckline of this dress, and it was Disney week, we thought we’d put it up in a bun. But the shoes are SJP, and I tweeted that this is the closest to Carrie Bradshaw that I’ll ever get, and she tweeted back and put it on her Instagram. She said, “This is the closest to DWTS I’ll ever get. 10! 10! 10!” I was crying! Everyone liked the dress and the hair, but I just felt different doing something else. This reminded me of Carrie’s look when she was at Charlotte’s first wedding where she had the big bun and broke up with Aidan that day, so I was into it.”

Week 2, Tuesday night
Dress by Antonio Berardi; Jewelry by David Yurman

“I love the blue asymmetrical dress, and I wasn’t even supposed to wear it. It was a last-minute, throw-it-on look. It looks like Maleficent. And I loved my hair because I like texture and the tousled look, and it just fit so well with the overall look. It wasn’t what we planned overall, but I loved it.”

Week 3
Dress by Stella McCartney

“I loved it, but felt it maybe wasn’t enough bling-y or flashy enough for DWTS. But the hair and the makeup I die for. I felt like it was very Giselle. We even pulled up a photo of her hair like that from the Met Ball! This is one of my favorite looks and I want to wear it again.

As for a preference between long or short dresses, I’m liking long gowns at the moment. Right now I feel that my body is at its worst even though I’m at my thinnest because I’m not working out as much since it’s hard to balance football and this. When I’m really on it and working out and doing Pilates, I don’t mind wearing the cocktail dresses. I just tried on a super-short dress and did not feel comfortable about myself, but, yeah, when I’m working out, I like showing my legs.”

Week 4
Dress by David Koma; Jewelry by David Yurman

Lee Harris, Erin’s stylist: “David is one of my favorite young designers because his dresses are really fitted, sophisticated but young and body-conscious, and he knows how to do a great body cutout. I wish more stores would pick him up. He’s incredible. This dress was tough because you can’t really sit down in it, and it came in a sad beige color, so we dyed it a rosy pink.”

Erin: “And then I moved my arm like five minutes before the show, and it ripped. But it was gorgeous! And it only ripped because we dyed it and it changed the texture of the dress. The hair was a last-minute thing. I think I was going to do it down, but I kept pulling it back. And Denise [Bolanowski, hair stylist], who always wants to do fun J.Lo hair, wanted to pull it back more and I was like, ‘No! I can’t pull it off, I’m not J.Lo,’ but it ended up being one of my favorite looks.”

Week 7
Jumpsuit by Stella McCartney; Shoes by Gianvito Rossi; Jewelry by Jennifer Fisher

“I have extensions bonded in, and then we clip in a ton of them too. All the girls on this show have big hair, so I can’t imagine anyone doing their real hair on the show. As for the jumpsuit, I would wear this in real life. It’s so amazing, and I feel so comfortable. And I love the shoes and jewelry because it’s so rock ‘n’ roll.”

Week 8
Dress by Akris; Jewelry by Tory Burch

Erin: “When I saw this dress on camera, I could really tell how beautiful it looked. Cameron Diaz had actually worn it on the cover of Bazaar. I love a ponytail.”

Lisa Ashley, Erin’s makeup artist: “We don’t want to compete with the dancers makeup, so we wanted to keep Erin beautiful and glamorous and dewy. On the eyes, we did the Brooklyn Decker look using CoverGirl’s last blast mascara. Very bronzy. It’s all creams, so it’s a little more smudgy. We do a combination of lashes. We start off with a three-quarter lash strip in the center, and from that we build. So it doesn’t look too heavy.”

Week 9
Jumpsuit by Ralph Lauren

“I just love a pantsuit. It’s so me. The color is beautiful, and it’s just easy. We did Spanx, and a halter bra. We did a red lip gloss, because I get scared of lipstick when it’s red. Lisa didn’t do much with my eyes because she knows it shouldn’t compete with the rest of the look.”

Week 10
Dress by Roland Mouret; Jewelry by David Yurman

“The color is so pretty and I haven’t worn it this season yet. The cutout on the top is just really edgy and fun. It’s a lot like the Maleficent-esque dress that I wore.”
