The American Country Countdown Awards happened last night, and if you guessed that the red carpet was sexy with lots of sparkle, well, you’d be right. The entertainment girls covered all the moments you need to know about, but I’m here (clearly) to discuss dresses.
I adore Carrie Underwood, in general, and was so happy to see she’s rocking her baby bump in a sexy, figure-hugging gown by Ashdon. It’s so Blake Lively of her.
Miranda Lambert had a few different dresses on display, but the short hemline and fun spangles of this LBD made it my favorite.
The award for most elegant would have to go to Hillary Scott from Lady Antebellum, who picked a long-sleeve red Lanvin gown that gathered directly in the center. It’s timeless, always a good choice, and beyond flattering to any figure.
I’m beginning to realize I have a dress crush on Miss America Kira Kazanstev (I loved the crop top and ball skirt she chose for the AMAs!). Sparkles always grab my attention, and I especially love when they’re done in the ratio of short skirt to wrist-grazing sleeves. She’s wearing Erickson Beamon earrings and carrying an Erin Dana clutch.
And finally, looking for some New Year’s Eve outfit inspiration? I’d like to offer up these two, Madison Marlow and Taylor Dye of Maddie Tae. Sequined party dresses are a popular choice for the holidays, and I especially love how they swapped out pumps or strappy sandals for ankle booties. Nice touch, ladies.
