Best Dressed at the People Magazine Awards: Va-Va-Voom From Jennifer Lopez, Kate Upton, and Mindy Kaling

Last night was the first-ever People Magazine Awards and I can safely report that Hollywood knew how to inaugurate it properly: There were so many good outfits! Whether sexy, sweet, or simply chic, there was definitely a little bit of everything on display for everyone.

Kate Hudson was one of the sweetest, wearing this coral-printed one-shoulder dress that had a little bit of a laid-back Grecian goddess feel going on. For shoes, she’s wearing Brian Atwood, for her clutch, Lee Savage, and for jewelry, House of Harlow bracelets and earrings.

Meanwhile, leading the sexy pack was Jennifer Lopez in this beaded jumpsuit by Naeem Khan. She kept the monochrome thing going with her accessories, omitting any splashes of color other than her mani.

Mindy Kaling didn’t abandon her love of brights, but she did get a little bit saucy on us. Hello, mega-plunge neckline!

In her defense, it’s hard for Kate Upton to not look sexy. My least-favorite looks are always when she tries to button up too much, so I was happy to see her looking sassy in a Tamara Mellon leather bodysuit and Thomas Wylde skirt worn with a wide cinch at the center.

I loved Karlie Kloss in this classic black bustier and lace pencil skirt. It’s super classic but also beyond sultry. For jewelry, she went with Jennifer Fisher.

Nicole Richie stood out the most in this striking black jumpsuit. The style is fantastic for winter parties, and the sheer sleeves really made this a unique find. She got some extra sparkle with custom-made House of Harlow jewelry.

My final sexy fave was Melanie Iglesias, who kinda had a Kim Kardashian vibe going on in this powder pink monochrome. The column skirt is crazy lengthening, and the bra top is sexy, pure and simple.
