Looks From Taylor Swift, Alessandra Ambrosio, and Others: Best Dressed at Golden Globes After-Parties

If you felt like you were waking up with a bit of Golden Globes red carpet withdrawal, great news: Some of the night’s most gorgeous gowns are ones that you haven’t even seen yet! To hit the round of after-parties that pop up afterward, some celebs actually change into dress No. 2, while others are just getting their night started. Isn’t it amazing how much fashion was going on while we were all tucked quietly into bed?

Diane Kruger was one of the ladies that changed, replacing her sleek gunmetal Emilia Wickstead gown with this flirty black-and-white number (she pulled a Kate Middleton move too, with those sheer black stockings).

I’m calling this electric chartreuse beauty one of my favorites of the whole night, it’s that pretty. It shows off Molly Sims’s baby bump without making it the only thing you can focus on, and something about the vivid color and graphic trim combines for something visually captivating.

Hailee Steinfeld didn’t make an appearance at the Globes, so this after-party look is the first time we caught up with her, fashion-wise, for the night. She’s transitioned so seamlessly from child actress into sophisticated lady and this dress, funky, playful, and just a little sexy, shows that off perfectly.

Making for a very chic threesome, Jaime King, Lorde, and Taylor Swift all hung together post-Globes. Lorde transitioned from her red carpet look into a different version, pulling on straight-leg trousers and funkier shoes, loosing her pricy diamond necklace, and swapping a black crop top for the same style in white. Jaime and Taylor were showing up for the first time, and I loved both their bright picks.

Alessandra Ambrosio looked gorgeous and sexy, per usual, in this lacy see-through cranberry pick. It’s very similar to other gowns she’s worn, but my favorite touch with this one is the unusual sleeve length, hitting right at her elbow. Typically, they’d extend all the way to the wrist or cut off after a petite cap sleeve.

It makes sense why stars switch outfits when you consider Jennifer Lopez, who rocked a beaded Zuhair Murad cape dress that must have been heavy to wear. To get her after-party on, she pulled on a slinky white set that looks way easier to dance in.

More supermodel style came courtesy of Naomi Campbell, who looked particularly stunning in a Burberry dress made of individual tufts of cropped tassels. If her beaded pre-party pick is any indication, she’s got a thing for texture.

When Nicola Peltz was promoting the latest Transformers flick, everyone in the office was obsessed with her elegant red carpet picks. I was excited to see her back and to confirm she didn’t disappoint in this off-the-shoulder bodysuit and sheer white skirt.

I spent so much of this year’s red carpet obsessing over gorgeous high-shine silver gowns (Julianne! Dakota!) and it turns out I’ll never get tired of them. This long-sleeve Kaufmanfranco pick from Bar Refaeli is so beautifully simple that it actually took my breath away. That knit sequined fabric just looks like it actually glows.
