Fernando Jorge before winning the post of one of the most quoted jewelry designers of the world did not dream to be part of the fashion world.
Fernando began studying food engineering at UNICAMP, one of the most renowned universities in the state of São Paulo (Brazil), but did not felt happy and fulfilled in his area, so eventually went study industrial design where rediscovered his affinity with the design. His first internship was in a jewelry industry, which he left for a graduate degree at Central Saint Martins University, from where was given the kickoff that took the boy to the list of the site “Business of Fashion” as one of the 500 most important people of fashion in the world, next to the editor-in-chief of American Vogue Anna Wintour, the fashion designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana of D&G and Alber Elbaz of Lanvin.
The Brazilian designer now living in London seeks inspiration from his homeland with pieces full of sensuality, femininity and concept.
With annual collections present in important international multi-brands as the French “Le Bon Marché”, New Yorker “Barneys” and also independent as the “Soho House” in Berlin and “Montaigne Market” in Paris Fernando Jorge is gaining growing prestige and admirers of his work in and out of the fashion world.
