When it comes to shoes, even addict numero uno Carrie Bradshaw was discriminating: Manolo Blahniks, please. The shoe designer is now poised to become even more of a household name thanks to a documentary entitled Manolo (The Boy Who Made Shoes for Lizards). Still in the production stages, shoe fans can plan on the flick following the same flow as other designer-focused features like last year’s Dior and I and ’90s hit Unzipped: personal and brand histories intertwined with behind-the-scenes access and insight from the fashion community at large.
While the Sex and the City connection is massive (the designer says the Mary Jane heels Carrie finds in the Vogue fashion closet are still <ahref=”http://www.glamour.com/fashion/blogs/dressed/2015/09/king-of-heels-manolo-blahnik-r” target=”new”>one of his best sellers), everyone’s favorite columnist isn’t the only one to regularly wear his wares. Having started his career in 1971, Blahnik has had plenty of time to rack up heavyweight fans. Princess Diana, Bianca Jagger, Kate Moss, and Kate Middleton have all been spotted in pairs.

Among all the SATC moments we expect to be included, there are other familiar fashion faces to watch out for—cameos from Anna Wintour, Andre Leon Talley, and Naomi Campbell are being included as well. And while there’s no word on whether Sarah Jessica Parker is one of the stars being interviewed (Blahnik says they’ve only met a handful of times), our fingers are officially crossed.
