It was an unconventional show: the audience stood where we would normally expect the runway, and the models circled the room. Adding to the 360 degrees experience, the audio played a key role: a sound system consisting of 192 speakers created a spatial, physical piece that leads the listener through the challenging phases the designers face in their creative process, a theme embedded in the presented collection. Layers of sounds were surrounding the listener, complementing the movement of the garments and the intricacy of their designs. Music and sound were created by The International Soundlings Collective and produced by MediaLAB Amsterdam (an initiative of the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences).
